About Us:
The James Valley Cycle Club was established in 1970 for young dirt track riders. Local riders sought out different riding areas including the Mitchell sewage treatment plant, moving onto an area in Hanson County, and then finally moving on to purchasing the 13 acre riding area in southern Davision County, where it is located today. It is important to note that the 13 acre riding area is for play and practice only. No races are held there.
Street bike riders joined us in 1993, and we’re seeing stronger attendance every year with a shared duty with the dirt bike riders. We have a variety of counties and even states that have joined the JVCC. Yearly the club riders group together the last Saturday in April for the annual ‘Bike Blessing’ in hopes to start each year of riding in safety with a little helps!
The pride and joy of the JVCC is their annual March of Dimes Poker Run. Dating back to 1995, the March of Dimes Poker Run unites fellow bikers statewide and around the country to raise awareness and funds. The mission of the March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. In 2015, the JVCC celebrates 20 years of this successful annual fundraising event. To date, the JVCC has raised over 50 thousand dollars for this worthwhile cause!
The 13 acre riding area of the James Valley Cycle Club is not only for practicing your motocross aerials but is also for beginning riders, young and old, male or female. The JVVC Park is a nice picnic location safe from other traffic for practicing the basic dirt bike riding skills. The Motorcycle Safety Foundation’s DVD Dirt Bike School is highly recommended. Please bring your children, grandchildren, or girlfriend here to practice balancing, clutching, and just riding in the dirt.

Getting Old One demographic at great risk of delusion is middle-aged "returning riders" who think they can pick up where they left off a decade or two ago. Too many returning riders wobble their way out of a dealership parking lot on a shiny, new machine and into traffic with only a faint memory of how to really control a motorcycle. ---Get regular training and continually practice cornering, braking, and evasive maneuvers. You'll feel better, ride better, and have more fun while reducing the chance of injury. Ken Condon, February-March 2016, Motorcyclist magazine
